I'm a Canadian ESL teacher living in Tainan City, Taiwan (Birthplace of Ang Lee). I'm obssessed with writing. In fact, I've been writing since I was a little kid. In high school, I started my first book. I never finished, and now it's lost (sniff sniff). Since then, I have finished two novels (1 Dark Fantasy/1 Humorous Fantasy) and a third is in progress. I write speculative fiction [SF, Fantasy, and Horror]. I like stuff that is dark, though I often like humour as well. In the last couple years, I've started writing short stories. My first short story submission placed 8th in the Writer's Digest 75th Annual Writing Competition. Needless to say, I was ecstatic! Now I'm focusing on trying to get published in consumer magazines and e-zines such as F&SF, Chizine, Clarkesworld, Weird Tales, Strange Horizons, Apex Digest etc. On this blog you will hear much about the hard rejection process (and hopefully not so hard acceptance process) I will surely live through.
